About the comedian: Spencer Dobson was born in Voss, North Dakota, Pop. 29. His interest in comedy started at a young age, listening to albums by Steve Martin and that guy that we all used to love, who did all those terrible things. Spencer grew up around people who talked in comedy quotes and who laughed heartily, possible to generate body during the mind crackingly cold winters.

Spencer's Stand Up career started in Minneapolis. He worked his way up through open mics, M.C. Spots, one nighters and feature spots working with some of the finest comics in the business at the finest clubs in the bussiness, eventually arriving at the HBO Comedy Arts Fest. This appearance got him on his way to LA.

In the Mid 2000's Spencer's Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which created a situation where it was agreed that Spencer should return to the Midwest to look after his mother and 90 something year old Grand Mother.

After a few years off to tend to family, Spencer has returned to Stand up, In the 5 years since he returned to the Stage, Spencer has released 2 Hour Long Albums: "Let's Try This Again" and "It'll Be Fun". He has also been invited to multiple Comedy Festivals, including The Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival in Asheville NC and The Laughing Derby in Louisville Kentucky. Spencer has performed at numerous Comedy Clubs and one nighters around the Country and done a number of Private Functions.

Spencer's act covers a wide variety of topics, from dealing with family, to relationships to technology. His take on life is a little dark, pretty clever and very funny.
